on-Film and Computer Science are creating a new Game Design and Development
program for BA and BS students. Discover how the program will prepare you
for a variety of careers in making console, mobile and computer games. Hea
r from game executives about how they broke into games and what they look f
or in hiring young talent.
Speaker Bios:
Andrew Busey is a longti
me entrepreneur who created companies including iChat, Acuity and Pluck. H
e founded and ran Challenge Games through its acquisition by Zynga, after
which he was VP/GM of Zynga Austin. He currently invests in and mentors sta
rt-ups.
Rodney Gibbs founded two game companies focused on mobile and
handheld titles, including QRANK, Spider-Man, and SpongeBob. Rodney is a
graduate of The University of Texas.
Richard Vogel joined BioWare in
2005 and formed the BioWare Austin Studio with Gordon Walton. He is current
ly VP of Production at BioWare Austin, and Executive Producer of Star Wars
The Old Republic.
