Talk Title: "Responsive Design"

Talk Abstract: Responsive design is a hot topic in web applications, and with good reason. This relatively new concept has taken the Web by storm with an ever-growing list of companies redesigning to make their sites responsive. In the tech talk we'll go over what exactly responsive design is, common misconceptions about responsive design, the basics of implementing a responsive site, things to consider before you dive in, the common arguments for and against responsive design, prevalent examples, and questions and answers.

Speaker Bio: Andrew Nichols is a 2007 graduate of the University of Maryland with a major in Computer Science and a minor in Philosophy. He was recruited by Dante Consulting while in his senior year and joined Dante upon graduation. Andrew has worked on many key client engagements while at Dante, including a customer portal for Comcast and an international e-wallet based application for a large credit card company.
