Laptops
The CS technical staff is responsible for the basic software on the laptops, which includes the operating system, an Office suite, and networking applications. Users are responsible for all additional software and are responsible for removing personal files and documents before returning the machine. Laptops will be restored to "Checkout Condition" by the staff after every return.
Various Dell and IBM laptops can be configured with your choice of Windows or Linux. Wireless and wired network connections are available. Specify if you would like additional accessories such as a mouse, mouse pad, speakers, power strip, etc.
Two Macintosh G3 laptops and one G4 Titanium Powerbook are available. These can be configured with Mac OS 9, Mac OS X, or Yellowdog Linux.
With the small number of laptops and extended checkout available, advanced scheduling is required.
