The Intel Labs are now located in ENS 1 and ENS 31NR, These labs are open to undergraduate and graduate students with UTCS UNIX accounts.

Equipment

There are 25 2.4GHz Pentium 4 machines with 1GB memory; named after Nethack characters and objects, and 19 3GHz Pentium 4 machines with 1GB memory; named after Austin live music venues. The old tea machines are being replaced with 10 Dell 390's with 2 Gig of memory. These are named after welding terms.

For a full list of hostnames, enter the following at a CS UNIX command prompt: % cshosts linuxwelding % cshosts linuxnethack % cshosts ubuntubar

These machines run Ubuntu Linux. There is a Kyocera 3800 and Kyocera 9500DN printer available as well. For questions email help@cs.utexas.edu for complaints email gripe@cs.utexas.edu.

There are also 10 headless machines available for public login. They are Dell PowerEdge-1435 with 16 gigs of memory. The hostnames are in linuxcamera.
