Taylor Lab
Located in the Taylor basement, this lab is open to undergraduate and graduate CS students with UTCS UNIX accounts
Equipment
There are 9 SunBlade 1000 machines with 1GB memory; named loosely after Tolkien's Ents,
13 SunRay machines with smart card readers, and
25 2.4GHz Pentium IV machines with 1GB memory; named after ship parts. The Sun machines run Solaris 9 and the Intels run Ubuntu Linux. There are also 10 headless Dell PowerEdge 1435
machines available for login. The hostnames can be found with
'cshosts linuxcamera'. There is also a Kyocera 3800 and Kyocera 9500DN printer available. For a full list of hostnames, use the following at a CS UNIX command prompt:% cshosts linuxship
% cshosts pubsun
