Seminars
There are several "Introduction to UNIX" seminars given by
the tech staff at the beginning of each long semester. These
seminars cover extremely basic UNIX concepts and commands, and are
targeted towards people with no UNIX experience at all. There are
more advanced seminars given occasionally, on specific topics such
as X-Windows configuration. For both, watch for flyers in Taylor
for times and dates.
There is now a UNIX topic course under CS108 which is geared towards
teaching fundamental UNIX concepts and tools for development. Visit
the class home page
for more details.
