This page provides an interface for submitting tickets to the UTCS department hardware shop to check out Audio/Visual equipment. The hardware shop handles requests for audio/visual equipment in addition to other computer equipment problems and requests; if you are unsure whether your request should be handled by the shop, check the department technical support FAQ or send mail to help@cs.utexas.edu. New guidelines for equipment pickup/dropoffYou can choose to either have the equipment delivered and setup in the location of your choice, or you can request that the equipment be left in the lockers in TAY 2.124. If the equipment is left in a locker, it will be secured with a combination lock. You will be provided with the locker number and the combination for the lock. Please remove your equipment, then replace the lock on the locker.
All equipment should be returned to an empty locker. You should find a lock inside of the empty locker. Please use this lock to secure the equipment.
Please return all equipment by the specified return time. We have a limited amount of equipment, and often the same item is checked out several times throughout the same day. If you need to keep the equipment longer than it was originally reserved for, you can request an extension by replying to the shopreq email.
If you will keep equipment past 5:00 you must either keep the equipment in your immediate possession, or store it in a secure place. Please note that locked offices are not considered secure because there are so many people with master building keys.
