Lab 2

Due: 2004-02-13 Friday 8.30 a.m. in class.

PURPOSE:

The purpose of this lab is to learn about Database Design using ER-Diagrams.

IMPLEMENTATION:

For this lab, consider solving all of the following:

a) Problems 2.65, 2.66, 2.67, 2.68, 2.69, 2.70, 2.71 on pg. 67, 68 of Chapter 2 from the text.

b) Problem 3.35 on pg. 106, 107 of Chapter 3 from the text.

For the ER-diagrams, you can use any commercial software (MS-Word, Visio [which contains built-in templates in the Database folder], ERWin, MS-Paint etc.). Also, see links 51, 52, 53 on the class web page. Clearly label/write any assumptions you make during the design.

SUBMISSION:

Please submit a paper copy in class by the Due Date/Time.

Make sure you have written the following on your paper submission:
