·         16 years of expertise in SQL, database design (conceptual, logical, and physical), and data modeling (dimensional and corporate schemas) using ERWin.

·         At Best Buy (05), optimized Teradata environment, resulting in savings of over 750,000$ in couple of months.

·         As Principal Consultant at Net Perceptions, lead a team to implement Ad Advisor product at Lowe’s using Teradata as the Warehouse DBMS, and MicroStrategy v7.x DSS Suite for reporting and analysis. Managed the project using MS-Project project plan, estimated the hours needed for preparing the statement of work, based on system development life cycle steps of Detailed Design, Prototyping, Testing, Implementation, and Production. Designed and developed all data models, ensuring they meet the business requirements as well as support quick and efficient ETL and BI development. (02)

·         Migrated MicroStrategy project v6.x metadata to v7.x for Net Perceptions retail discovery suite. (02)

·         Management of risks / issues / action items and deliverables / documents / milestones using MS Project and presentation of recommendations / results / status to executive management.

·         At Net Perceptions (99), created the “Business Applications Team” responsible for delivering industry’s leading promotional planning and measurement solution (Advertising Advisor product) at the item, department, store, and chain levels, using ROLAP techniques. Based on results to date, several major retailers are estimating that Advertising Advisor will generate $60-100 million in new revenue dollars.

·         Created the “Internet Services Department” at Wavefly, responsible for eCommerce, eContent subscriptions, personalization, advertising, and mining services and developed a recurring revenue business model.

·         As part of the design team, delivered the most successful product release (generating $10 million in sales in first 3 months) at BMC Software.

·         Spent 3 years developing internals of SQL engine using object oriented analysis and design, and C++.

·         Chief Architect for Novell in standard committees such as SQL Access Group, ODBC, and IDAPI.

·         Presented in various technical conferences, seminars, and classes.
