neural-nets -- the UTCS Neural Networks ftp directory

This directory is used to distribute software, illustrations, and papers
put out by the Neural Networks Research Group, supervised by Prof. Risto
Miikkulainen, at the Department of Computer Sciences, The University of
Texas at Austin.  Questions, comments, bug reports should go to
risto@cs.utexas.edu.

This directory should really be accessed through our WWW home page
http://www.cs.utexas.edu/users/nn. Everything available in here is
described in the web pages. The README files in this directory provide
only minimal information to get what you want.

- The "papers" subdirectory has postscripts of a number of papers put out
by the UTCS Neural Nets Research Group. Abstracts and references are
listed in the file papers/abstracts.html (which is actually a copy of the
web page under http://www.cs.utexas.edu/users/nn). Instructions for
retrieving papers through ftp are given in papers/README.

- The "software" subdirectory contain the various software packages put
out by the group. These packages are described in the file
"software.html" (a copy of the web page under
http://www.cs.utexas.edu/users/nn).

- tmp is used as a temporary inbox and outbox for transfering files.
