2012 College Excellence Award Winners


Assistant Professor Mike Walfish and Software Engineer Toren Smith have both been awarded 2012 College of Natural Sciences (CNS) Excellence Awards.

Mike Walfish is a 2012 CNS Teaching Excellence Award winner. The College of Natural Sciences Teaching Excellence Awards were established by Dean Mary Ann Rankin to increase recognition of the college's many exceptional faculty who are committed to teaching at either the undergraduate or graduate level.

Toren Smith is a 2012 recipient of the CNS Staff Excellence Award. Each year, CNS presents Staff Excellence Awards to exceptional staff throughout the college.

Congratulations to Mike and Toren for their outstanding contributions to the department! They will be honored at the CNS Honors & Awards event in late April.
