Dana Ballard Wins Helmholtz Test-of-Time Award

Professor Dana Ballard, and his co-author Michael Swain of University of Chicago, have won the Helmholtz Test-of-Time award for their paper "Color Indexing", which published in 1991.

This award recognizes the best papers published at the International Computer Vision Conference which still impacts the field 10 or more years after its final publication. 


SIGMETRICS is the ACM Special Interest Group (SIG) for the computer systems performance evaluation community. SIGMETRICS promotes research in performance analysis techniques as well as the advanced and innovative use of known methods and tools.
