The 2014 Friends of Computer Science (FoCS) Career Night was held on January 29 in the Atrium of the Bill and Melinda Gates Computer Science Complex and Dell Computer Science Hall.

The FoCS Career Night brings together FoCS partners and select UTCS students in an energetic networking and recruiting venue. Department Chair Bruce Porter kicked off the event by recognizing FoCS partners and our top UTCS students, including Turing Scholars, student organization representatives, five-year BS/MS Integrated Program students and graduate students.

Attendees commented that the event was extremely beneficial. Several students said the evening was a great opportunity to establish relationships and learn more about a potential employer's business model, corporate culture, and technology projects. FoCS partners commented that the casual atmosphere facilitated meeting our students on a more substantive personal level while simultaneously providing top tier candidates for their recruitment goals.

If you are interested in joining FoCS in order to take advantage of these types of events, please see FoCS How To Participate or contact the Office of External Affairs.
