12/09/2013 - Professor Dana Ballard, and his co-author Michael Swain of University of Chicago, have won the Helmholtz Test-of-Time award for their paper "Color Indexing", which published in 1991. 11/25/2013 - UTCS faculty Chandra Bajaj and Inderjit Dhillon were elected IEEE Fellows. Chandrajit Bajaj was selected for his contributions to image processing, scientific visualization, and computational biology. 11/23/2013 - Computer science students Jim Given (CS/Mathematics), Reid McKenzie, Julian Michael (CS/Physics), Suvamsh Shivaprasad, and Zachary Tschirhart (CS/Aerospace Engineering/Mathematics) and their teammate Eric Dawson (Biology) comprised this year's UT's winning Student Cluster team.
