Farnam Jahanian, UTCS alum and leads the National Science Foundation Directorate for Computer and Information Science and Engineering (CISE), returned to campus as a distinguished speaker. Hosted by Professor Al Mok, Farnam's Postdoc Chair, the lecture was on "Innovating for Society: Realizing the Transformative Impact of Computing and Communication."
