Our teams at the Louisiana regional programming contest came in 1st, 9th, and 18th.

Congratulations!

Our top team (Bevo Pivot) solved all eight problems faster than any other team (except for the coach team but that's another story). About 90 teams participated (including some coach teams). Our region includes Oklahoma, Louisiana, Texas and the Dona Ana County in New Mexico.

We all congratulate Gene Novark, Ryan Pai, and Jeffrey Yasskin of Bevo Pivot for their flawless performance. They were also the first team to solve problems A (tied) and F. Best of luck for the world finals! (March 28-April 1st, 2004)

Our next team, Dynamic UT, solved seven problems and got 9th place. Dynamic UT consists of Pratik Bhadra, Dossym Nurmukhanov, and David Whiteford.

Our third team, BeVolatile, solved five problems and got 18th place. BeVolatile consists of Ryan Cornelius, Ryan Hatfield, and Mengqiu Wang.

Congratulations to all the teams and thanks for all the hard work in preparing for the contest! Thanks also to the staff and faculty who supported us.
