Friends of Computer Sciences
Career Brunch 2009

The University of Texas at Austin Department of Computer Sciences (UTCS) Friends of Computer Sciences (FoCS) 2009 Career Brunch was held in conjunction with the College of Natural Sciences (CNS) Career Expo on September 21, 2009 at the Frank Erwin Center.

The FoCS Career Brunch provides FoCS companies strategic and early access to top Computer Sciences students including top GPA students, Turing Scholars, Women in Computer Sciences, ACM and GRACS leaders—the best of the best at UTCS. Students and companies used the opportunity to connect, communicate, educate and exchange ideas and career information.

Employers commented on the academic excellence of the students as well as their interpersonal skills and indicated they got what they came for: great students in a small, personal environment. The students were excited at the opportunity to learn more about companies with interesting technology projects and to meet prospective employers in person.

If you are interested in joining FoCS to take advantage of these types of events, please see the FoCS participation information or contact Nancy Hatchett at 512-471-9793.
