Options for getting to the University of Texas at Austin Department of Computer Science (UTCS) are below.
The main offices of UTCS are located in Taylor Hall on the UT Austin main campus. Taylor Hall is located at 201 E. 24th Street, just South of the corner of 24th Street and Speedway as seen in this map.
Generally, you will not be able to get a parking permit to park in a designated parking spot as a visitor to campus. If you attempt to drive on campus, the guard at the parking kiosks may ask you about your visit. You can indicate your university business, give your host's name and location and indicate that you will be parking in a loading zone. If a problem arises, call your host on campus who can speak with the guard.
If your visit will be less than 30 minutes in duration, you may park in the loading zone on Speedway between 24th & 23rd Streets which will put you directly across from the entrance to both ACES and Taylor Hall. Your flashers must be on in the loading zone to avoid a ticket.
If your visit will be more than 30 minutes in duration, we suggest you park in San Jacinto garage.
When you arrive on the UT campus to visit UTCS, we suggest that you park in the San Jacinto Parking Garage. Parking rates are:

After parking in the San Jacinto Parking Garage, go to the ground level of the garage and exit to San Jacinto Street. 24th Street intersects with San Jacinto near by.
Take 24th Street west from San Jacinto, you will find ACES on your left. Taylor is on the other side of ACES from 24th Street. View an area map.
