Scholarships for CS Students
CS students are eligible to apply for scholarships from several sources:
TexasScholarships.org provides a single portal through which all UT students can apply for a wide range of scholarships administered by the University.
- Entering Freshman Students - The deadline for submitting this application is December 1st of the year prior to entering UT Austin.
- Continuing & Transfer Students – Applications are available only online, beginning in November each year for the following academic year.

The College of Natural Sciences offers scholarships to students at all levels. See the College of Natural Sciences website for details.
The CS department offers scholarships for which current CS students are eligible to apply. See our scholarships page for details.
The Scientists for Tomorrow Scholarship is available to incoming Astronomy, Computer Science, Math and Physics freshmen. All such students are considered for this program if they complete the University Scholarship application. Award is merit and need based. Students who enter this program will be integrated into successful first-year programs involving small classes, strong cohorts, academic communities, tutoring, career planning, and undergraduate research. Scholarships will range from $1,000 to $5,000 and students have the option to re-apply for funding for their sophomore year.
