Research Interests

I am currently working on the Rapid Knowledge Formation project, a DARPA funded project, whose UT team is led by Bruce Porter. The goal of the project is to develop technology that enables people who are untrained in Artificial Intelligence to build knowledge bases efficiently and accurately. Our claim is that we can build very powerful knowledge bases through composition of very general concepts (components). This project includes the development of these general components as well as testing their ability to represent knowledge in complex domains like biology.
