Igor visited the NNRG in the Fall of 1999, working on self-organizing maps, and in particular, modeling self-organization of directional selectivity in the visual cortex. Later on he was a postdoc in Ping Li's lab in University of Richmond, working on self-organization of linguistic representations, and then moved to a faculty position at Comenius University in the Slovak Republic.
