Semester Project Description

We plan to develop a baby monitor which uses an ambient display projected in another room to notify the parents if the baby is upset. The display will consist of a colored light shining upward through a bowl of water. When the microphone in the baby's room detects sound, it will communicate this to the other room causing a solenoid to tap the water. In this way, the disturbance in the water will be proportional to the baby's cries.
