my research is in computational models of human auditory perception -- an area sometimes called computational auditory scene analysis or machine hearing. my focus is on methods for sound source separation and, in particular, speech enhancement. in general, i am interested in problems in machine perception, statistical machine learning, and artificial intelligence.
for fall 2009, i am the teaching assistant for CS394N: neural networks.
