The following papers were the result of CS370: TPC/IP and The History of the Internet.

We started the semester by reading the "TCP/IP illustrated" and "Computer Networking" books. After we refreshed our memories on the general structure of the internet and discussed several details in more depth, we wrote down some thougth on the possibilities of impoving the design of the HTTP. Results of that is the following document:

Session control for HTTP.

More on session control for HTTP.

Random thought on HTTP .

Next thing for us to do wasto read some early network design papers. We started with Vint Cerf and Robert Kahn paper "A Protocol For Packet Network Intercommunication" and wrote down the comments and impressions from that document

Impressions from Cerf and Kahn paper .

Then we went to the set of papers written by Donald Davies that described his ideas about national network and wrote down our imperssions with it.

Impressions from Davies' proposal.

During the last part of the semester we watched videos of the SIGCOMM 99 that consisted several tapes with different amazing speakers. Having a copy of a handouts and supplemental material was really helpfull in discussing the topics, although we didn't have copies of the presentations of all the speakers. While watching the videos we wrote down some quotes and impression.
