Agenda:
1) Brief discussion of your status report
2) Discuss: Distribution
of projects to team based on individual requests.
3) Group discussion of web page design/navigation of Typical Network
Architecture page using NPL's page as an example. (Topics discussed:
included adding titles to paragraphs to clarify function; main page should
include descriptions/links in the body (as well as frame) for timeline,
tour, annotated bibliography, timeline ought to have an additional horizontal
visual at the top of the page with hotspots, while keeping the vertical
presentation; annotated bibliography could list the "must reads"
first (or else a star besides the "must reads", and then follow with the
list of papers, sorted by date.)
Extra: Should the digital library be in the annotated bibliography as well
(how to denote, besides a link???)? Also, do we want a search engine
to search the OCRed text for terms found in the digital archive of this
network architecture.)
News:
1) I have reconstructed the agenda #1 page, with correct links for
both the Cyclades architecture, and the figures for the NPL page.
Action items:
1) Critique the components listed in the proposed
structure of a network architecture web page; any items to delete?
any items to add?
2) Finish up whatever from last week, and attack your project
3) Write new status report by Wed 3p.m.
