We already have noted that in another doc that: ACM is a 501(c)(3) organization and donations are tax deductible. --------------- Many, many times a company will send ACM a check and omit some of the details, such as "ACM/SIGCOMM 2003" and thus it's been a bit hard to keep track of whether the check has arrived at ACM or not, so I'm asking you to have it sent to Erin Dolan, our SIGCOMM Conference program director, and I suggest that you ask the donor to notify you once the check has been mailed. ----------- Here is an editted portion of an email from our ACM SIGCOMM program director that ACM sent me when I was fundraising for the HotNetsI workshop. Checks should be made out to ACM/SIGCOMM 2003 or ACM SIGCOMM/HOTNETS-I... And sent to for deposit here. In order for ACM to acknowledge the donation, please also send to me the person's name and corporate address where the thank you should be sent. Sometimes corporations need us to send them an invoice for their contribution. If so, that's no problem usually. We need the information, like the Purchase Order (PO) number, where to send the invoice, any special info needed. That information comes to me for processing here at ACM. Erin T.
