2005 plan for the timing of the presentations: Ramesh said: Here are the instructions we sent to the speakers. "Each presentation is given 30 mins, and your talk should not exceed this time. We strongly recommend limiting your presentation to about 22 minutes. The session chairs will use the remaining time to moderate questions and discussions pertaining to your talk." ---- Greg Minshall said the following on 5/3/2006 10:52 PM: Chris, what you may be remembering may be an effect of the little flashing light timers we had the session chairs use to move the speakers along from "talk" to "q&a" to "get off the stage" (green light, yellow light, red light). ---- I personally appreciated the 2005 strategy that Greg/Ramesh instituted. I thought that the talks were more cogent (even the slides seemed more interesting), and it seemed to me that there was more discussion than previous years. Chris
