Here are some registration trends showing the growth of registration over the period of weeks for 2001, 2000, 1999 and 1998. (2001 info is skimpy, because we didn't email out regular reports, and the counts are confusing, since some were half days, and some were full days, and you could also register for 2 half days....) Remember to check out the 2001.actuals.txt file and the 2001.html file, if you really, really want some detailed recent actuals, broken down by category. Here's a quick summary of the conference registration, and all the details follow: SIGCOMM Year 3weeks before Actual 2003 343 incl. comps 395 conf. attendees 2002 385 459 (we warned everyone to register early) 2001 346 450 (SAN DIEGO) 2000 383 407 (STOCKHOLM --- European and all were warned to register early since the venue limit was 500.) 1999 364 471 562 (CAMBRIDGE/HARVARD) This was the big year, because of it's loca- tion and the panel of SIGCOMM Award members and the Technical History tutorial. 1998 309 420 (guestimate) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- SIGCOMM 2002 actuals Fri July 19 (1 week before the early reg. deadline, and 1 month before conf.)
