A Technical History of the CYCLADES -
A Technical Tour
This Tour presents details of the CYCLADES Architecture.
Click on any link, for a complete explanation of an
architectural
component. An overview is available, which provides a good
high-level summary of how CYCLADES operates. While much
of the Tour can be read independently of the other parts,
it is recommended that everyone read the overview first.
Readers interested
in learning more about networks in general should reference the online text book Computer Networking: A Top-Down
Approach Featuring the Internet by James F. Kurose and Keith W. Ross.
The first section of this document is a brief architecture overview of
Cyclades. The remainder is split into three sections (one for each layer of the
network) and can serve as a reference tool as well as a learning tool.
