• IM sports update: our sports teams are 4-1 so far in soccer and football. Also, volleyball starts this Tuesday. Two leagues, 8 and 9 pm.
• Next week's meeting (and other meetings in the immediate future) will be Tuesday at 10 to accommodate the volleyball game at 9.
• Longhorn Halloween will take place on October 27th. Mark your calendars, because this is always a fun event to participate in.
• Swee will help coordinate some sort of mentoring/tutoring program this semester.
• We unanimously passed the Marshall Plan for breaking ties in spring council elections. If there are n people tied for the final spot, 3 people who won their elections will be randomly placed on the ballot as well. Those people are still guaranteed their spots on the council, their presence on the ballot is merely to prevent people from knowing who the member with the fewest votes was once the council roster is finalized. DSers will then vote for half of the n+3 candidates on the ballot, rounding up in case of an odd number.
• Cameron put out the call for movie suggestions for the Fort Davis bus ride. Contact him with requests.
• We discussed ways to ensure that people will be reasonably quiet in the hotel at night on the Fort Davis trip. We don't want any more complaints from the hotel management.
• A karaoke social will take place in a few weeks. Bess is coordinating.
