Heirs of Empire

This third volume of the Mutineer's Moon series, and takes place, for the most part, about twenty years after the preceding volume, The Armageddon Inheritance . This book focusses on a new internal threat rather than the Acchultani (sp), and tells two related stories. The first is the efforts of Emporer Colin I's efforts to deal with the internal threat. The second is the story of how the children of the Colin and his close associates survive on a planet isolated since the fall of the First Empire when stranded there by the internal threat. This second part of the story is very reminiscent of King David's Spaceship by Jerry Pournelle .
