• Jan 14: Read pp 94-98 in Morelli (about I/O). Read chapter 5 (this should mostly be review). Skip the cyber pet examples.
• Jan 16: Read Chapter 8 in Morelli. Read the arrays section in the online Java tutorial on the Sun web page. Do the questions and exercises on arrays in the java tutorial.
• Feb 3: Read chapter 7 on strings and string processing in Morelli. Skim chapter 6 (this should mostly be review). Here are my slides on Strings. 
• Feb 10: Read chapter 0 and chapter 2 in Morelli. Read the first 4 sections in the Object-Oriented Concepts section of the online Java tutorial on the Sun web page. 
• March 5: Read Chapter 11 through section 11.5.
• April 20: Read chapter 9 on GUIs.
