The 2008 First Bytes Outreach Program was made possible through a Texas Technology Workforce Development Grant from the Texas Workforce Commission and by The University of Texas at Austin, Department of Computer Sciences.

Additional funding is needed to ensure that the First Bytes Outreach Program continues for the Summer of 2008. If you are interested in joining us as a partner, here are some things you can do to help increase participation of women in computer professions:

• Professional women in computer science and engineering careers can volunteer as mentors or panelists to talk about their unique personal career and opportunities
• Host a company-sponsored breakfast, lunch or dinner for camp participants
• Donate prizes and corporate logo "giveaways" to be awarded for competitive activities.  Past prizes included digital cameras and iPods.
