On the Road

I got my drivers license in the US around 3 months after coming here (October 99). When I first came here, I was psyched out by the speed of the car traffics and the number of cars. I soon got over it and ever since I got my drivers license I have been a driving freak.

My first major driving excercise was a 1000 mile trip in 17 hours. Me and my brother drove to 3 neighbouring states around Texas - Arkansas, Louisianna and Oklahama.

States marked in white are the states I have been too. I hope to cover all 50 states as soon as possible.

December 1999 vacation

My second trip was to Florida for a vacation. Me and 8 of my friends went on this vacation. We totally travelled 5129 miles in this trip and the particular highlights of this trip was driving on the 7 mile bridge connecting Marathon and Big Pine and getting to the 0 Mile marker of the US-1 state highway.

We totally covered 11 states in this trip - Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, Ohio, Illinois. Route on the way back

I also went to Chicago at this time and had the exprience of driving in the maddedning traffic.
