I was the instructor for CS 108 "Software Systems: UNIX" for Spring 2009 and Fall 2008.
In past semesters, I was a teaching assistant for the following two classes:
Both of them involved leading discussion sections---a challenging but fun experience that undoubtedly contributed to my enjoyment of teaching. In summer 2005, I was a program assistant for the FirstBytes program, designed to introduce high school girls to the field of computer science. I was particularly interested in helping with this program because I believe that the best time to break gender stereotypes is in high school so that if a student decides to study computer science, she can take the background courses necessary for success before coming to college. |
