I am interested in how to help programmers develop, debug and maintain their software in an easier way. Currently, my main focus is on program static analysis and software evolution; but I am also very interested in programming languages, debugging and testing.
I have found it very exciting to explore new approaches that span these areas. For instance, I have been working to apply program static analysis techniques when comparing difference between versions of a project in order to identify systematic change patterns and suggest syntactic edits when necessary to enforce the change patterns within the project. Later, we would like to integrate it with automatic compilation and regression testing framework to improve the quality of the suggested syntactic edits.
During my leisure time, I enjoy running, singing and cooking. I love watching movies, TV dramas and reading novels for fun. I had played the electronic keyboard for around ten years since when I was six years old. Although I am not playing it now, it has fostered my passion for light music and classic music. Hopefully, I will pick it up in near future just for fun!
