Jackson was up for adoption on petfinders (see description below).
I need to find a new home for my 18 month old dog
Jackson. My lifestyle has changed drastically
since I first adopted him and I no longer have the
time to take care of him properly. I have attached
pictures but don't let them fool you. He's not
dignified and reserved. He's a happy, goofy, silly
boy.
1. He is a hound mix. The best guesses I've
gotten are Lab, Chow and Greyhound. He weighs
about 45 lbs very lean and got a clean bill of health
at his last vet's check up in July 2005.
2. He is neutered and his vaccinations were all updated in
July 2005. I also have a 6 month supply of
flea/heartworm medication for him.
3. He has a
happy, affectionate and friendly temperament. He
is very friendly with people and is the first one to
welcome you at the door. He is a little shy with
dogs at first but quickly warms up to them.
4. He knows 'sit', 'come', 'lay down', 'on your bed', 'drop it'
and 'give me your paw' commands.
5. His favorite
things to do are run (I think he's part greyhound)
and snuggle. He's got a very cute habit of sneaking
into bed with me in the middle of the night.
6. He is
fully housebroken. The last time he had an
accident was November 2004.
7. He walks well on
a leash.
8. He has not been exposed to kids so he
can be very shy around them.
9. Very loud noises
outdoors (like trucks or sirens) scare him.
Please help me find a good home for him. He deserves
more time, love and attention than I can give him. I
am able to take care of him until a new home is
found.
Jackson stayed with us for 3 weeks. His owner reconsidered his decision and Jackson is back home again.
