• A set of values

• One or more operations on the values.

Scheme has a number of data types:

• Numbers: integer, rational, real, complex.

• Boolean: #t (true) or #f (false).

• Characters: #\a

• Strings: "Hi Mom!"

• Vectors: linear sequences of values

• Pairs or cons cells, used to make Lists

• Procedures
