Hello Texas

August and September

October and November

November and December

The Big Texas Adventure continues but this time with "Little Guy"... We moved back to Austin on August 28th and Nathan is enjoying his first Texas winter now. Nathan has adapted to his new environment quite well although his schedule has never recovered. Fortunately our schedules are quite flexible these days so we're just going with it. We're really enjoying spending time at home with Gusanito. He just loves his Dada and loves being able to walk down the hall to visit him at his "office" whenever he wants. No, he's not quite walking on his own yet but he's great at using his walker.

Nathan is ten months old now and dangerously mobile. He continues to crawl in the commando style but he also crawls off of his tummy a bit -- mainly in preparation to stand or sit. He uses anything he can to pull himself up and walk around. Fortunately, he's getting stronger and seems a bit more stable. For example, he can easily bend over his toy chest and pull out toys.

Gusanito has undergone a lot of physical changes over the last four months (of course). He has six teeth now -- four front teeth on his upper jaw and two front teeth on his lower jaw. He's pretty good at using them too... we've learned that the painful way. He's eating really well and is able to try more foods with his new set of chompers. His favorite food is Cheerios though. He recognizes the name and the box and he gets quite excited at the sight of Cheerios being poured onto his tray. As for his size... same as always... big head, tall, but slender. He's wearing 12 month clothes and size 4-5 shoes but he's quickly outgrowing them.

Oh and how loud he can be! He must have inherited his mama's vocal cords. He makes all sorts of sounds now and LOVES to get into screaming matches with you. Unfortunately for our neighbors, we don't really discourage his little screaming bouts. They don't usually last very long though.
