The frontage road ends here; you’re forced to cross Hwy 71

If you miss this turn, you’ll be on Grove Blvd, off the route

One block before Hwy 183, turn left into cul-de-sac on road which is also called Montopolis

At the end of the cul-de-sac, enter sidewalk that crosses the steel truss bridge on the left side of the road

These last 4 steps in the route will be replaced with the Lance Armstrong Bikeway when it’s completed

At the end of the sidewalk, bear left onto Levander Loop

Levander Loop is unmarked, but that’s OK. Exit the sidewalk, merge with the traffic, and you’ll be going the right way.

Follow the sign to 7th street

End at the corner of Congress Avenue and 7th Street in the heart of downtown Austin.

 

 

On this map, this ending point is 2 blocks south of landmark number 11.

 

If you’re following the Southern Tier maps, note that Congress Avenue extends northward to Martin Luther King Blvd, which becomes FM 969 east of Austin, and is the Southern Tier’s route from Bastrop to Austin.
