Installing tutorial.cs.dso in windows

In some windows systems, NERO installs read-only, and the system will not allow you to replace the existing tutorial.cs.dso with the new one. You can try turning off read-only on that file its parent directories, but the system may not allow that either, if NERO is in the program folder.

So here's an installation sequence that might work in that case:

(1) Open the installer.

(2) During installation, when asked where to install, DO NOT install in the default directory that is suggested. Instead, choose a location within your Documents folder.

(3) After installation, make sure that both the new Nero folder and the 2.0 folder are not read-only. To do that, right-click on the folder and choose "Properties." Then toggle the "read-only" button to OFF. Make sure that is done for both the NERO folder and the 2.0 folder within the Nero folder.

(4) Now go to the folder [Install directory] \ Nero \ 2.0 \ nero \ client \ scripts

(5) Within that directory, replace the file tutorial.cs.dso with the newly supplied tutorial.cs.dso.
