I met my beautiful wife Shalini in high school, and we got married in August 1998, right after finishing our Bachelor's. She is now a computer scientist in the Computer Science Lab of SRI International.

My dad is a civil engineer, my sister is a biochemist and my mom is a home maker. I enjoyed a great childhood in Calcutta with my family. I spent 12 fun-filled years at South Point High School, which taught me valuable lessons about life, made me aware of important world issues, gave me insight into life, imbibed in me the spirit of scientific exploration, and last but not the least, inspired me to enter academia.
