Motion statistics

I am working on my Ph.D. dissertation with Prof. Bill Geisler in the psychology department on research involving the natural scene statistics of motion (recent paper here). We also have completed a project that examines human perception of open versus closed contours that was recently published in Vision Research (html, pdf)

Modeling directional selectivity

I have an in interest in computational neuroscience and neural networks. I've done a small project modeling of the development of directional selectivity in the visual cortex.

Austin Ultimate
