I am a first year grad student in the department of computer science, UT Austin. I am working as a Graduate Research Assistant at Office of Survey Research under the Annette Strauss Institute, UT Austin. I graduated (major: computer science) from National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK) India in the year 2006.

I joined Trilogy after graduation. After working for a year at Trilogy, I co-founded Techsouls. At Techsouls, we worked on standardizing Robotics and Physical Computing research. We developed platforms like Explorer, RoboSim and Flexi; used them to conduct workshops at engineering schools and had lots of fun! I have shared a few pics from our workshop here.

As a part of my undergraduate thesis, I worked along with Srinath to solve the problem of localization in an ad hoc wireless sensor network using a mobile beacon (GPS-equipped robot). Our main contibution was development of probailistic models for localization parameters involved in the process. We got our work published in the proceedings of ACM IWCMC 2006, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. (pdf) .
