About

I am now currently a computer science Ph.D. student in University of Texas at Austin advised by Aloysius K. Mok. I received my master/ bachelor degree of computer science at National Taiwan University in 2012/ 2009. During these two programs, I worked as a graduate/ undergraduate researcher in Ubicomp Lab at National Taiwan University and advised by Hao-Hua Chu and Polly Huang .

Research

My research interests include real-time system, wireless sensor network, ubiquitous computing, mobile computing and networking.

Digital sensing technologies have evolved and are now capable of gathering real-world data almost everywhere. For example, some predict the world will soon have as many sensor-equipped smart phones as humans. At home, refrigerators, televisions, and laundry machines use sophisticated sensors to perceive their context. On the roads, cars have complex sensors to optimize fuel efficiency, improve driver safety, and increase passenger comfort. At the same time, data from these sensors can be gathered in the cloud, which provides the computational capability to perform big data analysis. I envision such a large-scale system being able to integrate information from every computational device in the world. Designing and building a large-scale system like this that could solve real-world problems like sustainability and health will be an interesting research topic.
