I am a post-doctoral fellow at UT Austin working with Inderjit Dhillon and
Pradeep Ravikumar.
My research interests are in Machine Learning, with a focus on:
-
Theoretical issues involved in the design and analysis of learning algorithms
-
Adversarial online learning and its connection to classical statistical learning
-
High dimensional learning problems: statistical and computational aspects
-
Optimization algorithms: with a focus on large and/or high dimensional data sets
-
Reinforcement learning and bandit problems: with a focus on exploration vs. exploitation dilemma
-
Application of Machine Learning to Social Network Analysis and Bioinformatics
My almae matres are IIT Kanpur (B.Tech., 2002) and UC Berkeley
(M.A., 2005 and Ph.D., 2007. Advisor: Peter Bartlett).
I was a research assistant professor at TTIC from 2008 to 2010.
