About Me
Hi, I'm Cristian Cantu, a passionate software developer with a focus on AI and machine learning. I have a strong background in Python, JavaScript, and various AI frameworks. My goal is to create innovative solutions that leverage the power of AI to solve real-world problems.
I was born in Lubbock, Texas but have lived in a small town outside of Houston called Hockley. This is where our childhood trailer home resides to this day. Both of my parents are from Tamaulipas Mexico but met here in the United States when my mom first immigrated from Mexico. We speak Spanish at home so I am bilingual and I am very thankful for that because it means I can talk to more people in their native language. Growing up I really enjoyed physical activities and staying outdoors. Our family rarely ventured to places outside of Mexico and Texas so one of my goals is to explore more parts of the world. With this goal I also want to make sure our planet stays in good condition for generations to come. This way future generations can have the luxury of exploring and living on a healthy planet. I hope to one day be able to make a difference in fighting climate change and other forms of pollution. With the AI revolution this will be hard since AI takes a lot of energy and there is no sign of it slowing down. I hope to be able to use AI to help solve these problems and make the world a better place. I am currently part of an AI startup in stealth mode as I finish up my degree in computer science. I still have a lot to learn but I am excited for the future and the opportunities that lie ahead.
