University of Texas at Austin
Doctorate
(2005 - present)
I am currently working on my Ph.D. in computer science at the University of Texas at Austin.

University of Texas at Austin
Master of Science
(2005-2008)
I received a Master of Science in computer science from the University of Texas at Austin in May, 2008. In addition to computer science major courses I completed minor courses in electrical and computer engineering, and women and gender studies.

University of Virginia
Bachelor of Science
(2001-2005)
I received a B.S. in computer science from the University of Virginia's School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. I also completed the requirements for a B.S. in computer engineering, and I received a minor in engineering business.

TJHSST
High School
(1997-2001)
At Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology I was required to take a computer science class to graduate. If that had not been the case, I probably never would have given computer science a chance. I have found that this story is not uncommon, and I strongly believe that exposure to computer science at a young age when the required commitment is low is critical to increasing the participation of women in computer science.
