I am originally from Matamoros, Mexico, where I obtained all of my pre-college education. I attended The University of Texas at Brownsville for my undergraduate studies. I joined the Department of Computer Sciences at The University of Texas at Austin as a Masters student in Spring 2006 and served in the 2006-2007 GRACS Executive Committee.
I worked with Prof. Gary Chapman in the emerging field of Disaster Informatics at the LBJ School of Public Affairs.
I graduated in May 2008 and I will be joining Google's Platforms Networking team.
