I am currently obtaining Bachelor's degrees in Computer Science and Mathematics, and a Master's degree in Computer Science at The University of Texas at Austin. During my time at UT I have done research in the area of Automated Mechanism design, exploring how we can automate the design of auctions while reducing the assumptions we make about the bidders. This has a wide range of applications to things like internet search auctions, and ad auctions in general.
The summer after my freshman year, in 2015, I spent interning at Yahoo!, in Sunnyvale, CA, working on Ads Targeting. The summer after my sophomore year, in 2016, I spent interning at Microsoft, in Redmond, WA, working in the Commerce team of Visual Studio Team Services. In the summer of 2017, I interned at Facebook, in New York, NY, working on Messenger Infrastructure, on the queueing team.
Within Computer Science, my main interests are in Artificial Intelligence. I am especially interested in Artificial General Intelligence, and developing agents that can perform a wide variety of tasks, rather than being trained for specific tasks. See my Portfolio to see some of my work in this direction.
When I get the time, I enjoy pursuing some of my side interests. I am a chess fan, and try to play tournaments on occasion. I enjoy a select few video games, particularly the Assassin's Creed series and Skyrim. Lastly, I enjoy watching TV shows, including Modern Family, Law and Order: SVU, The Big Bang Theory, House of Cards, and most of all, Game of Thrones.
At Facebook, I interned in Messenger Infrastructure, on the queueing team. That summer I was a frequenter at the Marshall Chess Club.
At Microsoft, I interned in the Visual Studio Team Services Commerce team. During my internship, I lived in downtown Bellevue.
At Yahoo!, I worked in Ads Targeting. For the major portion of my internship, I lived in downtown San Jose.
I am obtaining BS degrees in Computer Science and Mathematics, and an MS in Computer Science focusing on AI.
